Security Manual

Security across all port sites is integrated into the overall safety framework defined under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

The protection of goods within the container terminal is a top priority. We provide our clients with full assurance against theft within our Container Terminal.
BMT has implemented specific surveillance measures and conducts daily assessments of immediate risks within the container terminal. To ensure the safety of containers and their cargo, a dedicated security unit is employed, in addition to the Port of Bejaia’s security forces (GPRS and border police).

This security unit was established to provide continuous 24/7 monitoring and control of the premises, protecting the container terminal against sabotage, theft, illegal intrusion, and any other acts that could compromise the integrity of goods and containers. The unit also monitors and prevents stowaways from boarding the container ships.

The container terminal perimeter is fenced and equipped with high-tech video surveillance.
