Ship Handling
After the ship docks, specialized teams handle all vessel cargo operations:

Stevedoring
Once the container is placed in the yard, the following operations can take place:
BMT allocates human and material resources to carry out its various container services. Rubber-Tyred Gantry cranes (RTGs) are essential for executing these operations. Service quality at this stage is measured by the number of deliveries and returns completed per day.

Refrigerated Container Handling
The handling of refrigerated containers—including connection, supervision, and temperature monitoring—is carried out by a specialized team from the Technical Department in the REEFER area.
In the event of a refrigerated container failure, upon the client’s request, BMT’s Technical Team can carry out corrective action by repairing the faulty unit.
Container Repair
BMT Spa provides repair and compliance services for empty containers on behalf of its clients. BMT Spa’s intervention on containers pre-selected by the client includes:
- Cleaning containers to prepare them for receiving goods
- Applying appropriate paint to treat visible rust
- Ensuring, if necessary, floor rinsing and countersinking of screw heads


TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
- a- Container loading and unloading in designated areas.
- b- Public transportation of goods.
- c- Rail transport.
- d- Storage in the Extra-Port Area.
- e- Container handling.
Off-Dock Area
An Extra-Port Area dedicated to the receipt and return of empty containers after delivery. This area is also used to consolidate empty containers in preparation for their loading onto ships.


Lashing/ Unlashing
- a- Securing and releasing containers on board the ships.
- b- Installing and removing container locks or any other securing equipment on the quay.
- c- Securing containers on board using locks, bars, lashing rods, chains, cones, deck fittings, or any other equipment provided by the vessel.
